Quality Time

Lacy is only four months old
she'll be a good cow dog some day.
Right now she excels at chewing things
and loves to romp and play.

"Down", "Come back" and "That'll do!"
are lessons yet to learn,
as she nips the rake and attacks the leaves,
that I pile up to burn.

Spring time chores are a lot more fun,
trying to get the yard raked up,
with the enthusiastic assistance,
of a Border Collie pup.
